Course Overview
Bali Handara Golf and Country Club was created by Australian golfing legend, Peter Thompson and his partner, Michael Wolveridge. The course opened in 1974 and is now one of the oldest award-winning courses designed by this duo. Bali Handara offers golfers a unique experience, as it is nestled in the crater of a volcano, in the lush highlands of Bali. This 7,024 yard course has some magnificent views with mature shrubs and trees dotted throughout. Being 3,770 ft above sea level, golfers benefit from a fresher, milder climate. The layout was ranked among the “Top 50 biggest Golf Courses in The World.” by Golf Magazine, and was also awarded the winner of the “Best Golf Hotel in Indonesia 2015 ” by the World Golf Awards. Around two hours drive through some magnificent rice paddies and villages, it is well worth the trip, and on the way back we suggest you take in the sleepy village of Ubud for a fantastic meal and a cool drink. Book this course through Indonesian Golf Holidays, or let us add it to a personalized Indonesian Golf package for you and your group.
